In ancient China, in addition to the use of these three fibers, a large number of long fibers - silk were also used.
Silk is the best, longest and finest textile fiber among all natural fibers. It can be used to weave various complex figured jacquard fabrics. The extensive use of silk fiber greatly promoted the progress of ancient Chinese textile technology and textile machinery, thus making silk weaving production technology the most characteristic and representative textile technology in ancient China.
